Question about medication - Vesicare? I went to the GP last week for a kidney infection (not my usual GP, as he was away for Christmas). One of the medications I was prescribed was Vesicare.I read on the package insert (after I finished the pack of 6) that you should not take it if you have trouble emptying your bladder - that's me, and the reason why I constantly get UTIs - prolapsed bladder which doesn't empty.I've had terrible blurry/ double vision for the past 2 days, this is apparently a common side effect. Has anyone else taken Vesicare and can you tell me how long it will take for me to be able to see properly again? I'm struggling to work and can't drive!

Well the side effects usually last as long as you are on the Vesicare and should stop as soon as you stop taking it.
I seem to be having bladder control issues I have tried Detrol, Oxytrol and now Vesicare. ? The Vesicare seemed to work the best but is has now been a little over a month since I started using it and it has now stopped working. I am 40 years old and wearing adult diapers. I have noticed that the severity of my loss of control seems to be a big issue when it gets close to what would be my time of the month. Even thou I no longer have a period due to surgery. My Doctor says it is not the result of child bearing my children were both c-sections. Does anybody know of any other options I can try.I have also tried drinking cranberry juice in the past and am doing so now but doesn't seem to be working.

Will these two prescriptions interfere with each other? Vesicare (for Overactive Bladder) and Yaz (birth control).I was put on Yaz for acne control a few months after i was put on Vesicare. I didn't think to ask the Dermatologist if they would interfere with each other. I just don't want to keep taking the Yaz for acne if the Vesicare will counteract it or anything.

Vesicare is used for the treatment of an overactive bladder with or without urge incontinence. Note: Anyone that has a previous condition of hypersensitivity (urinary retention), gastric retention, poorly controlled closed-angled glaucoma, or liver disease should NOT take it in any shape or form. I've never taken Vesicare but I have heard some good things about it (and not just because of what is said in the commercials on tv). As for kegel exercises yes it can help with some forms of urinary incontinence.

Can some meds cause my period to be late? I just started a new Rx med called Vesicare.its for overactive bladder. Do some meds cause periods to get delayed? Mine is about a week overdue. I am sure I am not pregnant. I have also changed my diet. Thanks!
I have never heard of Vesicare delaying a period. If you have made a drastic diet change, I would think that would be more likely.

I don't think your doctor will approve half of that. For one thing, some of those medication are contra-indicated with the others. He'll probably only give you what you'd die without.

That says "TALK TO YOUR DR." he isn't going to approve what he thinks isn't necessary. The only prescriptions you will get are for what you need. It doesn't mean you can get them just because they advertise them and say ask your Dr about them. They are just advertising.
I personally go out of my way to avoid prescribing drugs that use direct-to-consumer advertising. The ads generally drive people to take drugs they don't need, and there's almost always an alternative when they really do need them.

you should try this menthol gel cream or whatever they really helped reduce arthritis pain for my gramma its good for those types of pain. it might be a nerve that is misplaced or something. try something like what i said im not sure what its called but its just a gel that relieves muscle pain & all that. good luck! srry i dont know what its called though =\
is it like a radiating pain, a sharp piercing pain? different "types" and feelings of pain can mean different things. If you've already seen a pro I doubt there's much we can suggest. try a different pain reliever some might work better than others for you- ask pharmacist tell them how it feel
Get your Dr to order an MRI of your shoulder. It will show if there are any tendons torn or if you have a rotator cuff tear. It will also help to determine if there is extra fluid in the joint space etc. Since you've already had an X-ray and even an Ultrasound to rule out a fracture an MRI is the next step.I've worked X-ray for 6 years and just moved to MRI 4 months ago.
would like to know if meds can cause this? ok i am over a week late for my period. yes i took a pregnancy test and it said no. i take topamax daily for migraines/seizures. i have been on this for about 2 months now. but since feb 16th i have been on anaprox and parafon forte for back pain. i just got switched from the parafon forte to flexeril on march 1st because it didnt agree with me. could all these meds casue a change in my period? or should i wait and take another test. i dont know a lot about meds, especially these so i dont know if its possible. thanks.
It could be your stress level from all the meds or it could be the change in your meds. You should check the side effect. If it makes you feel comfortable, take another test.
I was just prescribed Parafon Forte (Chlorzoxazone) 500mg for a really bad headache. Does that make sense? I had a really bad headache and still do. I took 2 500mg tablets as prescribed by my doctor. I read they are for muscle spasms. That really doesn't make sense to me and my headache is till going strong. Chlorozoxazone is a muscle relaxant that is often prescribed for muscular spasms especially associated with neck pain and back pain.The only reason that I can think of it being given to somebody with a headache is pain resulting due to a problem in neck i.e. headache secondary to neck pain or cervical spondylosis. Mainstay of treatment for headache are analgesic drugs.I think you need to speak to your physician. If your pain is not relieved and it is a frequent occurrence, you should get yourself investigated to look for most probable cause.If these are simple headaches, just analgesics would do.If it is migraine or something similar, your physician should put on migraine therapy.It would be best for you to speak to your treating doctor.I hope that helps

Generally muscle relaxers, and this one for sure, have a sedative effects of varying strengths, the idea is that being slightly sedated will lower your blood pressure, and hence the pressure around the brain a bit and provide relief.Since you are sick to your stomach, eat a little bit with the meds and sip some cold water. That might help.If the headaches continue, go back to the doctor and take the next step in searching for a treatment. Unfortunately, headaches, especially migraines don't respond to one specific therapy in everyone. It is somewhat of a trial and error process to find the right one for you.Best of luck to you.
