Where to buy Benadryl online

How much benadryl to give a dog for a flight? I am going to take my dog on a 4 hr flight, and am wondering how much benadryl am I supposed to give to him to help him sleep during the flight. He weights about 14 lbs. Can anyone help? Benadryl will not necessarily cause your dog to sleep. I give it for allergies and it does not affect my dogs like that.I would suggest you contact your vet about using a safe sedative. And it is 25 mg per 25 pounds. Benadryl comes in 25 mg tablets. You can buy Benadryl online from online rx pharmacy. It is rarely recommended to give a dog a sedative for a flight. While under sedation, dogs have a hard time regulating body temperature. The single biggest cause of dogs dying during air travel is linked to sedation. Only a veterinarian should prescribe a sedative in this case, and most won't for this exact reason. Most airlines stipulate the dog should not be sedated unless veterinarian approved. Benadryl is an antihistamine and won't make your dog fall asleep. I think you're thinking of Dramamine, which I give my dog on long drives. I gave her a half dose and she did fine on that, but you should probably consult your vet before giving your dog human medication. ask your vet, or try this- it probably doesn't say anything about it, but its worth a try. just a click away.-barkbusters.com/ Most owners with anxious traveling dogs go to the vet for valium, alprazolam, or other safe dose sedatives. Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and dramamine are both antihistamines that sometimes cause slight lethargy at high doses or excitability, which you definitely DO NOT want. These are not reliable aids to your dog during its flight. You need a health certificate to fly anyway. While getting the exam for the health certificate ask your vet for a prescription, based on your dog's health, heart, respiration, age, etc. Many airlines will not allow dogs to fly if they've been drugged. You need to check your airline's policy on that. The reason a dog should not be drugged is because when their ability to pant is hindered they can overheat to the point of heat stroke. Research has found that just because a dog is drugged it does not mean he is any calmer inside. Their hearts still race and the stress hormones are still active, but they are unable to dissipate the excess internal heat. Also, Diphenhydramine HCL, the active ingredient, can cause increased heart rate and irregular breathing, neither of which is good at 35,000 feet up. There are other medications that a vet can prescribe for sedating a dog.I drove my year old lab 1000 miles from NJ to Florida, and gave him one of the pills and he was quiet the whole trip. Meds were not that expensive either. None! It's not recommended these days to sedate a dog for a flight. If your dog is crate trained and travels fine in a crate in the car then he'll do the same on a flight. How long in advance do you take Benadryl for sleep? I am being treated for insomnia and I did not want to take sleeping pills, so my doctor told me to take 2 pills of Benadryl before I go to bed. How far in advance should I take the Benadryl? How long does it take to take effect? My doctor didn't tell me this, he just told me to take it before bed. But should I take it immediately before, or like 1 - 2 hours before? Thanks! I take it 30 minutes before. It really helps me relax. It is also good for anxiety in a half pill dose. Happy sleeping! take it 1 hour before you go to sleep.if you find yourself becoming too tired before you actually need to go to sleep, decrease the time to 45 minutes before you go to sleep.if that's too long, then decrease it to 30 minutes.and so on and so fourth.good luck!=) Benedryl really doesn't make you sleep. It makes you drowsy, so it will be easier for you to fall asleep. I'm a nursing student and I just looked it up in our drug guide. You should take 50 mg (2 pills like your doctor said) 20-30 minutes before bed. How much benadryl should I give my dog benadryl? He is allergic to grass (very sensitive dog). Almost 5 months, mainly english bulldog, at 35 pounds. I know benadryl can help, but how much should he get? The tablets are 15 mg each, how much mg is allowed? 10mg per 20lbs of body weight. No more that twice daily. Also; corn, soy and wheat are contributors to allergies in dogs, so check the food you feed him. High quality foods can help with itching as can Fish Oil capsules (1 500mg capsule daily) that you can purchase at a vitamin store. see my other answer. How long does it take for benadryl to leave the body systems? I take benadryl on a recreational basis [about 400mg a day] and I was just wondering how long it takes for the medicine to leave your system? Also, I take it with 1000mg of tylenol, is that okay? I've never had a hangover from it. It can take 1 full day.Other Health News:dev-news.com/news/easy-way-to-stop-smoking/dev-news.com/news/common-ingredients-in-penis-enlargement-pills/ liquid benadryl skin contact will it affect your system if half the bottle spilled out on your feet? The bottle of benadryl fell out of my hands and spilled on my feet and I was planning on taking a cold medicine with benadryl in it but wasn't sure if the skin contact from the benadryl would be double dosing? No, it has to be taken by mouth and digested. If you are still concerned call the number on the back of the bottle. How much benadryl should I give to my dog? My dog is 15 lbs. She has allergies: eyes run and paws itch. I have been told that benadryl is okay to give to dogs, but I cannot find the dosage tables on the web. Thanks,Leo unless the vet tells u to and gives u a specific amount U DONT GIVE DOGS BENYDREL! it will make ur dog sicker if u give it too much and worse if u give it too little Never give your dog medication without asking your vet the dosage. Different weight size gets a different dosage. Benedrill is not bad for dogs but the wrong dosage is. If your vet isn't open right now then call the emergency vet. Even though it's not an emergency they can answer your question. There are several sites on the web that give this info. Just "google" Household Medications For Pets. One such site is listed below.Have you research as to why your dog has allergies? Could it be food, grasses, or could it be vaccines? See the Wisconsin University web site. You really should call your veterinarian to confirm, but here are two websites that give pretty clear instructions. hi we breed/train Siberian Huskies and have for twenty years this is what our vet of twenty years tells us to useBenedryl® Treat allergies, itching, reaction to insect stings, etc. 1 mg. per 1 Lb. 2 times per day Even though it is true benadryl can be given to dogs, you should ask a veterinarian to get the correct dosage. If you are sure your dog has allergies your dog should be seen by a veterinarian to find out the cause of the allergies. You may either need to adjust your dogs diet or environment to correct these allergies. Also benadryl may only work temporarily for short term use or not at all for his allergies, it is not usually effective for long term us and is not without it's side effects. So the best way to treat your dog is to find out what the cause of the allergies are and have her treated appropriately. The dose for benadryl is 1 mg per pound three times a day. Generally benadryl comes in 25 mg tablets , so you can cut one in half for your dog. It generally does only a fair job for itching in dogs. If the problem persists make and appointment with your vet. Please contact your vet and discuss:a) whether this is appropriateb) if so, what dosage he/she recommendedsA lot of human/animal medication is similar or the same but unless you get the dosage right you could end up seriously hurting or killing your pet.I implore you NOT to listen to advice of people answering your question for a measly 2 points and pretending to be experts when they are not.Vets are the experts. This is not an appropriate forum for this kind of advice. You really should ask the vet 1st.My dog weighs 15 lbs. The vet told us to give her 1/2 of a Children's Chewable Benadryl. You dog may not like the taste so you might want to put it in some peanut butter, cheese, or hide it in a treat. You can also use the Children's Liquid Benedryl. I tried it and it did not sit well with my dog's stomach.

Access Aricept online at worlds lowest prices

How can I buy Aricept without prescription? Can you please help me to buy Aricept without prescription. I work and live in the UK but my father who lives in Africa has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I have been trying to get him Aricept to help him with his condition but as I don’t have prescription I am unable to buy it.I have spoken to my GP but he said without seeing the patient he can issue me with prescription therefore can you please help how can I get it either in the UK or elsewhere. I looked at different web sites but don't how to check they are real ones or not.
Online Drugstore: buy Aricept without prescription at worlds lowest prices
However, if your father has been formally diagnosed by a doctor, perhaps that doctor can talk to your doctor and get you a UK prescription which you can then send to your dad.Internet sites charge a lot more because as part of the payment, you are paying to be "prescribed" your order by a doctor the web company keeps on staff. The drugs may or may not be the real thing.Another thing you can do is write to the manufacturer. Some of them offer free drugs to those who cannot pay. Perhaps your situation would be similar.
How effective is the new medication for Alzeimer disease Aricept? Alzeimer patient was prescribed a new medication =Aricept and I wondered whether it is an effective drug or the number of side effects
New? Aricept was approved for treatment of Alzheimer's Disease in 1996. My mother took it from about 1999 until her death in 2001. There was no benefit as far as I can tell. Maybe it helps some other people, but I don't think it helped my mother. I doubt if she really had Alzheimers's Disease though. I think she had Vascular Dementia.
Does anyone have experience with bad side-effects of Aricept? My mother was given Aricept in a nursing home without our family being notifiedof this. She has been in a very fast decline for several weeks, probably the amount of time she was given Aricept. We have seen her memory, language, and ability to walk and feed herself decline severely. We believe it has been caused by Aricept. We are praying that she will regain what skills she had once this drug is out of her system.
Does anyone know if Aricept causes nightmares in elderly patients? My aunt is 94 and recently started taking Aricept. She is experiencing vivid nightmares and having trouble distinguishing between reality and the nightmare--any one have any idea if the med could cause this?
A lot of meds do that. However, maybe an onset of dementia is coincidentally coinciding with her regimen of Aricept. yes, it can. this is a typical side effect in many medications. age does play a major factor in the extensiveness of the side effects also. you may want to talk to her doctor. My experience with Aricept was neutral mentally. No bad dreams. However it did cause a decrease in my platelet blood count. It seems like my mother does have vivid dreams and nightmares also. Yes, she does take aricept. My mom takes a benadryl at night also, to help her allergies, which also helps her sleep better. When she doesn't take the benadryl, she either can't sleep, or she has dreams/nightmares which make her wake up. Yes it does most doc's recommend taking it in the am. My grandma had the same issue! Please have them take it in the am!
Is Aricept used for prevention of alzheimers as well as treatment? Can Aricept be used as a preventative measure against Alzheimers or is it only used for treatment of an existing case.
I was taking care of an elderly family member who was prescribed aricept for dementia and when I was employed by a doctors office he also prescibed it as a preventive, so I guess it can be used for both. Aricept is used only for the mild forms of Alzheimer's disease. It is non effective to the more advanced forms. It slows the process down on some, but, there is no cure. There is no preventative at this present time.
Can Aricept help memory loss side effects of medications? At least 3 of medications (that I definitely need) cause memory loss, memory problems, and/or concentration problems.Does anyone know if I could possibly take Aricept (the medication used for alzheimer's) to help these incredibly difficult memory/concentrationproblems that interfere tremendously with my functioning and cause a lot of anxiety worrying if I'm going to forget something. I use a ton of visual aid reminders to help with this problem, but I still forget a lot and worry about forgetting things.I have a lot of education, but I've always had a problem with reading comprehension. I have to read things over and over. It also doesn't help that I have a lot of disturbing things on my mind that interfere with memory and concentration, but I've had this memory problem for years. Thanks, in advance, for responding to my question.

Accept is prescribed in situations where Alzheimer's is suspected. ADDING it to to meds. you take that may be contributing to memory loss would probably not be helpful. It would only add more to the chemical "cocktail" already existing in your brain.Of course, your need for these drugs must be part of the equation. However, the only one who can decide this for you is your physician. I am not qualified to give medical advice, and am only going by my own experience. Please ask your Dr (and pharmacist if you like) about this, and take the names and the dosages of ALL the drugs you take with you to your Dr. Don't forget that many over the counter drugs,as well as caffeine ( a drug) and alcohol of course have side effects. Some OTC drugs causing memory loss may include NyQuil, Benadryl, Sominex, etc. Good luck.

Important information about Cromolyn

Why is Cromolyn Sodium Solution for nebulizers no longer available in the US? Cromolyn Sodium Solution is used for asthmatics in their nebulizers.
Place your order: buy Cromolyn online

Effectiveness of Intal (cromolyn sodium) used in a nebulizer? I cannot get Intal inhalers and most of the international on line pharmacies have discontinued Intal inhalers. I did find that my pharmacy carries Intal (Cromolyn sodium) solution for nebulizers and they are covered by my health plan. I do not know how effective this delivery system is, but I am willing to find out. Does anyone else know about the effectiveness of this delivery system? It is inconvenient, but I am willing to try it.

Nebulizers are one of the most thorough delivery systems of medication targeted directly to the tissues in the lung. They exceed inhalers because the nebulizer provides for a more sustained, fine particle mist over numerous breaths. While less 'efficient' in medicine use, it is more effective. You can also inhale or exhale through your nose to get the medication into the mucosal membranes in the sinus. Allergy-induced post-nasal drip is associated with more pronounced asthmatic response. Not many people still use cromolyn solution, primarily because it is most effective when administered 30 minutes prior to anticipated allergen exposure. It help reduce/eliminate degranulation of the histones and release of histamine from the mast cells. It's good stuff, and I have used the Intal inhaler in the past
. Has anyone had a negative experience using Nasalcrom (Cromolyn spray) for allergies? i use chromolyn eye drops for years!no drawback:i didn't know about the nasal spraythe eye drops burn a little bit, when i put them in my eye,it takes a few seconds and its over.my eyes itch a lot in spring, and the chromolyn is the best so far!(tried other eye drops)when i get a itchy tongue+ itchy palate/throat:i take Allegra tablets and they work(no sleepiness!)
What are good substitutes for cromolyn sodium? natural medication for mast cells or cromolyn sodium substitute

You can substitute with Stinging nettles, Licorice root, Quercetib-Rutin and Flax oil. These have the potential to stabilize mast cells and control histamine levels to a natural response. Vitamin C is also recommended with zinc, however, you might fare well with Acerola cherry or camu camu which are effective ascorbic acid and are not buffered. Saw Plametto is also a good mast cell stabilizer. Note: if you are taking blood pressure medication, opt out for licorice root. Preparation:Tsp of NetttlesTsp of Saw PalmettoBoil together and let seep for eight minutes.drink up to three times a dayYou can take a tablespoon of Flax oil daily (up to three times daily)If you are adding licorice, try to use sparingly, just add half teaspoon and twice daily.supplements such as Acerola, Quercetin, Rutin come in pill form (Solgar has a complex or simple get it from lemons, pineapples and papaya) You can find acerola cherry and camu camu in your local whole foods or sprouts; online tooI Hope this helps
where to find cromolyn sodium for nebulizer online, cannot find it in a pharmacy, have script, cannot find med?
First, this is a prescription medication and, if the pharmacy doesn't have it in stock, they can order it and get it usually by the next day
where to buy cromolyn sodium for nebulizer? where to buy online Anyone take cromolyn or any other drug for exercise induced asthma? I have been reading some info on cromolyn and it says it helps prevent exercise induced asthma, has anyone tried this drug?I have allergy and exercise induced asthma I currently use symbicot,a rescue inhaler and singulair plus zyrtec.I exercise alot but really not as hard as I wish I could I know I could push myself alot more if it wasnt for this darn asthma! Im always having to take it slow or take a break because of wheezing or feeling out of breath or tire more eaisly than others.Im so frustrated with asthma! Would love to talk to anyone who has tried this drug or has had sucess with any other asthma drug to help prevent exercise induced asthma.Symbicort works really well its just when I exercise I have problems. Cromolyn Sodium is generally a drug that has to build up a concentration in the body to be effective . this may take weeks to a couple of months . and you have to take it religiously . that being said . this drug is used to maintain the integrity of the mast cell . which when it degranulates causes a release of mediators that are known to cause bronchoconstriction/bronchospasm.If this is not the causative factor associated with your mediator release . it will not work . but it is worth a try to see if this is a source of your EIB . good luck . what is cromolyn eye drops? is it affect on puffy under eye ?make it difromation ?
this is an allergy eye drop, the prescribing physician is treating a suspected allergy, or using it to reduce the swelling. good luck can you over medicate your eyes?
I have been using two different prescription eye drops. One is a steroid called lotemax and the other is a mast cell stabilizer called Cromolyn sodium. Can i over medicate my eyes by taking these too much?

Yes you can. Use the eyedrops as prescribed so that the eyes have a rest period inbetween applications and there have a chance to heal. Constant saturation with medication will not be good for them, particularly if you are using steroid eyedrops. If you use too much stuff on your eyes they may become sore and painful it's usually best to ask your local doctor what may be best for your eyes i use daily eyedrops called optrex and it usually says not to apply more than 2 or 3 drops to your eyes daily

Buy Discount Propulsid and save extra money

Does anyone know the safest Pro-Motility agent (such as bethanechol, reglan, propulsid) to give a infant for s My daughter has severe acid reflux. Anyone know the safest medication out of the ones listed to give her. My doctor wants me to give her Reglan but I've heard a lot of bad stuff about it.
Place your order: Buy Discount Propulsid no prescription

Severe reflux and he's checked the phyloric sphinctor for growth abnormalities and has reccomended Reglan? Then i'd listen to your doc. If you have questions about any drugs see a pharmacyst, they are especially knowledgable in this area and hugely under utilized.

Does anyone know how to relieve a cat from constipation? I've spent alot of money and time at the vet and they prescribe latulose & propulsid but after 3weeks to a month he's constipated again, does anyone know to end the constipation for good?
It may have a lot to do with what you feed him. Try feeding him more wet than dry, or you could give him a teaspoon of canned pumpkin over his hard food. Most cats really like the taste of it and it helps retain some moisture in his poop which also combats constipation. Also, try giving him a product called Laxatone. You can also get that from your vet. It's primary function is treatment for hairballs, but it's like flavored vaseline and helps lubricate his GI tract. Some cats are still genetically predisposed to such problems and you may have to give him pumpkin, lactulose, laxatone etc for the rest of his life. I hope this helps. Good Luck! Try a bit of the tuna packed with vegetable oil..or get some cod liver oil to put in his food..give it to him twice a day(1-2 teaspoons) at first and then just once after things start "working" If it seems like too much then cut it back of course. Try giving the cat a serenge full of green tea every day. It is all natural, but it really helps with this problem. You could also try soft food if the cat only eats hard food, this normally helps also. I agree with Linarkry that diet is important. Moisture and fat are important in keeping bowels in healthy condition so canned food and the addition of salmon oil or olive oil is important in the diet.Use quality canned food, not grocery store stuff. Natural Balance, Wellness etc. offer good canned foods in their line. my cat has the same problem. he also gets diarrhea right after the episode and gets very dehydrated and sickly looking. he has been loosing weight and the vet want to do all sorts of test that cost 2000.00. will try remedys below also. thanks

My 4 month old shepherd has been diagnosed with esophogitis, which got worse after the explorative laporatomy? she's on carafate, pepcid, prilosec, tramadol and propulsid (for motility) and has been getting better than a month ago. but still has bouts where she hacks/gags and regurgitates a frothy slimy mucus and sometimes the food in her belly. what caused the slimy mucus! she doesn't have evident stricture yet, but are dreading it happening. she's so underweight and has such discomfort sometimes (several times a day to all day sometimes)
Please post in the PETS forum. When the body is trying to clear itself of infection it produces mucus. it is a good thing.A stricture is unlikely if she is receiving good medical care.

help! not sure if my cat is still constipated after having an enama.? my cat is 11 yrs old and has a history of constipation. Recently he had an enama and he was completely backup =( the vet kept him for 3 nights at the hospital (for observation as they said) which probably stressed my cat even more - he barely ate and did not go. we finally took him home with the following meds the vet gave us - lactulose, propulsid, fortiflora, dismutase, orbax and new food Purina OM (wet & dry). It has been 3 days now and my cat has still yet to go. he barely eats and has lost some weight. i'm afraid he is constipated again? do not want to bring him back to the vet .. too traumatizing and cost $$$. any suggestions to help my cat go?

The vet gave me some enemas to give to my cat, but first have they checked your cat for kidney disease? Constipation is common with kidney disease. His rectum may be somewhat sore so apply a small amount of Vaseline or A&D ointment . He may be holding back for this reason. Why not stay with just the canned food, The dry may just be too much bulk causing hard or no bowel movements. Rubbing his stomach in a circular downward motion may also help the stool pass. He should have a BM by tomorrow, If not call the vet and ask about outer laxatives or stool softeners that you may be able to get over the counter. Also ask about fish oil capsules to pour over the food or other oils o grease up the intestines a little. Good luck. it really sound like his kidneys have shut down. Take him to another vet, sounds like his one likes the money, instead of the truth. You can try raising the fiber amounts in his food. Fiber absorbs water thereby creating looser, bulkier stools. That shortens the transit time in the gastrointestinal tract and keeps things moving. While you want to increase the amount of fiber in your cat's diet, you don't want to overdo it. Initially, don't be tempted to switch to the highest-fiber diet you can find. And you should introduce the dietary change gradually, over five to seven days. If you switch your cat too quickly onto a high-fiber diet, your poor feline chum will likely become very uncomfortable with gas pains. Sources of supplementary fiber include bran, psyllium (Metamucil), and canned pumpkin. Some cats will eat these products, others won't. If your cat will eat them, mix the fiber-rich supplement in with quality canned cat food. But if he's not eating and has lost weight, this might not be a sign that he's just constipated. If he's not eating then he won't need to go. There may be another problem which only your vet will be able to tell you about, or better yet, just call him and tell him your cats circumstances. I know about the high price of the Vet. You were given the best medicines for the treatment of constipation, I now believe it is something else related, altogether. Poor kitty.its so difficult when they can't tell us what's wrong. Is he over weight? That can cause constipation as well as more serious issues. If he isn't eating, then he won't be going to the bathroom too much either. Important thing is to get him drinking.dehydration is the worst. When my Ebby had bowel problems, the vet recommended a small amount of canned pumpkin mixed in with his food. You could try this once he starts eating again. Its supposed to keep them regular. Have you tried cajoling him with something like tuna or his favourite food. NOT too much, since he has eaten so little, but just enough to get him going.and have you tried his old food? One of my cats would positively refuse to eat new food. Not to scare you, but you do need to get your cat drinking and eating soon. They can go down hill really quickly if they don't. After having your kitty for three days, and knowing his history, your vet should be giving you a definite answer on what's going on. If he/she didn't tell you then call them up and ask. You need to know if kitty has kidney damage or what.I'll keep my fingers crossed for kitty. You might need to learn to give your cat enemas every so often. We had to do this with our Simon. We used a Fleet Pediatric enema bottle - not the fluid, just the bottle with warm water. It is not hard to learn and once you've done it just once, you've got the procedure down.See if your vet will show you how to do it.

No prescription needed Omnicef

How long does Omnicef take to clear your system? I had a doctor prescribe Omnicef for an infection, and now, I have a few swollen and painful lymph nodes in various parts of my body. One is actually bruised in my elbow. How long can I expect these symptoms to last?
Best price in the internet: order Omnicef online
u can get alot by visiting this site it will help you for further information.mediarticles.com/or check the other links over there to get ur perfect answer, even if u dont get ur desiredinformation u can use the search over there, believe me it will help u for ur specific information.
How well does Omnicef work for infants? I have a 15 month old that has brinchitis and double ear infections. She has been sick a while and just put her on omnicelf. Has anyone used this before and if so, how well does it work. Are there any side effects?
My son has been on omnicef before for ear infections. It worked well for him. He had a bit of diarrhea with it, but not as bad as with some of the other antibiotics.
Can you consume alcohol while taking the antibiotic Omnicef? I just started taking the antibiotic Omnicef and it does not say anything about consuming alcohol. I know you aren't usually allowed to consume alcohol with antibiotics but I haven't found anywhere that it says you can't consume alcohol with Omnicef. Can I get a little help?!
No you can not drink alcohol on this antibiotic. You should never drink when on any medication. As the side effects of this medication diarrhea, vaginal infections or inflammation, nausea, headache, and abdominal pain are bad enough without throwing in alcohol on top of it.In fact it would be quiet dangerous to drink whilst taking this antibiotic.Just because it doesn't say you can not drink on a particular medication does NOT mean it's OK then.
My daughter seems to be ill, irritated, and hyper since taking Omnicef has anyone else had this experience? My daughter is 4 years old and was prescribed Omnicef for brochitis. Since being on Omnicef she seems to irritable and hyper, and frankly just plain hateful. This is so out of character for her. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen these effects while being on this medication or if someone u know has? Will the antibiotic omnicef at 300mg doses work for a bone abscess under a tooth? I may have some amoxicillin or doxycycline in the house as well. Would that work better? I can't afford a dentist for about 5 days, until I get paid, that's why I'm asking.
It should kill most bacteria in the soft tissue. Bone infections are difficult. It might need dental surgery. Yes if taken often enough and long enough. Your Dr can tell you how long you shoiuld be on the medication for the infection your dealing with..The Denture Pro.
Does anyone know if Omnicef is bad for toddlers with an ear infection? my baby has an ear infection I wanna know if there is anyone else's toddler with the same problem and had reactions to it??for how many days was it? and was it for ear infection?

My toddler has taken it a few times without a problem. I think it is a fairly common prescription for kids that age.
What are the side effects of Duratuss AC12 and Omnicef? I went to a walk-in clinic yesterday cause I was feeling sick.. (Turned out to be bronchitus(sp) And he perscribed Duratuss AC12 and Omnicef. What are the side effects?Cause after taking the meds, my stomach has been feeling really weird.. Like, bad weird. It feels like there's air in my stomach. (I didn't eat fast or eat different foods..so it's not that)I called and asked the doc who was in today, and she told me "its probably from the antibiotics" but acted like it was nothing. It hurts, and I'm wondering if it's cause of the meds? And what are the other side effects? I guess having tummy pains is better than feeling like i have to cough every time i breathe in, though.. hmmAnyway, thanks for your time..and answers. They're appreciated.

Useful information about Brethine

How long after stoping brethine does labor start? I am 36 weeks pregnant and 3 cm dilated 70% thinned and measuring at 37 weeks and they placed me on Brethine until Monday. The doctor told me he will not stop my labor now so when I stop the Brethine on Monday how long will it take to go into labor?
The lowest price: buy Brethine online It might not start back up for another week after that or more. There really is no telling. I hope your little one stays cooking in there so he/she can get strong! Best wishes.
How long does the Brethine Injection work for preterm labor? I am asking please please please help me find this answer! I went into preterm labor last night and was gave two shots of brethine to stop contractions. Im 35 weeks and turn 36 tomorrow. I want to know how long it lasts to stop it?

It depends on how your body reacts to it. I have had to have those shots 5 different times - about every two weeks. I'm surprised they gave them to you considering you are that close to 36 weeks and most doctors allow the baby to come at 36 weeks. That depends on you. If you remain on bed and pelvic rest, stay well hydrated, and try to remain relaxed and calm, you shouldn't need to have any other intervention for preterm labor. True preterm labor is difficult to stop, so most likely if they were able to stop it with just two injections of brethine, you should be ok. The shot isnt' actually in your body an incredibly long time.when it is given, it relaxes the uterus. Sometimes, that is all that is needed to stop contractions from turning into full blown preterm labor. If you're cervix isn't changing (which I doubt it is if they let you go home), then you're not in preterm labor.
My doctor has placed me on Brethine due to a thinning cervix, is it safe to have sex? I am 33 weeks now. The doctor took me out of work but he didn't indicate any restrictions for home.
I would definitely ask your doctor this question. It's not something I'd really trust in the hands of Yahoo Answers users. I'd call and ask. I'm not going to say yes and you believe all of us and he just forgot to write it down. Call the doctor's office. They are used to questions like that. Seriously. YOu should see the questions I come up with. make a sailor blush. Well, that would probably mean you are on modified bedrest. Call them and ask them if you are on pelvic rest too. I would bet anything you are on pelvic rest too, but this is something to ask your OB. You'll have to ask your doctor on that one. I'd think since you're at risk for preterm labor, it's not safe though. the person to ask is your doctor. if you're on restricted activity (like no work) odds are good sex isn't a great idea either; and if you're already having trouble with your cervix sex is (again) not the best idea if you want your baby to be full-term. which is best for the baby and also for you - a bigger stronger baby is more likely to sleep through nights sooner and need less frequent feedings! not a guarantee, but better chance of it, and every little bit helps!! This is definately a question for a doctor.not us sweet peeps here on yahoo answers.Better to be safe than sorry. My 'opinion' is that if he is taking you out of work then you should take it easy on the sex until the baby is born but your doctor is really the best person to answer that. Hope he gives you the ok cause I know I would be miserable.lol!
Could I still go into labor even if I take Brethine that was prescribe from the doctor? I am 31 weeks pregnant and I was put on bed rest when I was 28 weeks because my cervix is funneling (shortening). They said my cervix has gotten very short. They gave me Brethine to stop the contractions and on bed rest so I won't have the baby now. I was wondering even if I take Brethine to stop contractions would I still go into labor? Has anyone ever went into labor while taking Brethine?
Yes there is a possibility that the brethine will not work. If that happens you will go back to the doctor and they will try a different medicine. In my case I did start having contractions again and they had to give me injections to stop them. Good luck hun.
Will having the brethine shot to stop contractions hurt the baby? I am 33 weeks and having preterm contractions, I had the shot twice within 12 hours will this hurt the baby?
no. it will not hurt the baby. they give it to help the baby from not coming too early. if it was in any way a hazard they wouldn't do it! take care and good luck.
4 contractions in 2 hours, should I take a brethine pill? I'm 31.5 weeks and they prescribed me brethine but I haven't taken one yet. When should I take one?I've been to the ER recently 4 times and they gave me a brethine shot every time to stop the contractions so I wouldn't dilate, now they gave me the brethine pills and I need to know when to take it.

I would probably wait unilt 4 in ONE hour, or 6 an hour(when my doctor said I needed to worry). But you might call lbor and delivery and ask them. Didn't your doctor give you instructions on when it is appropriate to take them? Look on your prescription, or call the office and ask. Most of the time what I see in the hospital as the marker is 6 contractions in ONE hour. But always ask if you aren't sure. I would think you need further clarification from the doctor. I believe those pills stop labor, so if you're having contractions, my guess is to take one! This is a question for the doctor or pharmacist. We aren't qualified!! I took brethine with all three of my kids . they should have told you when they prescribed it how to take it and when. Yes it will give you the jitters but its a small price to pay rather than to have a preemie.

Orudis is an anti-inflammatory medication. It can be used to help control the pain of things like a sinus infection. I tried this medication before for my arthritis and it made me sick to my stomach.

Where can I buy Orudis KT for pain ? I have looked all over the web for over the counter Orudis KT. Is it still available anywhere ? I am not going to pay the inflated E-bay price. Used to be able to get it almost anywhere. I have already checked all of the national chain pharmacys and no luck. Where can I buy it ? Thanks

OTC Orudis was discontinued about 6 months ago. Your best bet is to ask your Dr for a ketoprofen prescription, which is the same ingredient as Orudis only at a much higher dosage, along with a higher side effects profile. Orudis was 12.5 mg of ketoprofen.

Ketoprofen or Orudis, how well do they help the pain? Iv got a bad spider bite on my leg and i got a prescription for Orudis/Ketoprofen,never herd of it,and i dont have a clue of how well it will help my pain go away momenterly, but I cant even walk it hurts so bad.Pls tell me if it work

Where can I buy Orudis KT, and why has it not been in stores?

I BOUGHT IT AT WALLGREENS DRUG STORE. IT IS SOLD OVER THE COUNTER IN 12.5MG TABLETS. IF YOU CAN'T FIND IT LOCALLY, YOU CAN GET IT ONLINE, BUT IT IS REALLY EXPENSIVE THAT WAY. I asked my pharmacist about this yesterday. He said there is a problem with the manufacturing, and that no stores have it at this time. Hopefully soon we will have it back on the shelves.. Its one of the few OTC pain meds that do the job.

What can I give my 100 lb. lab for joint pain? I have always given Orudis, it's no longer available. Help!? I am looking for an over the counter pain medication for her. I do not want to pay 3 times the price for a "canine" pain med. I know there are medications out there for humans that dogs get the same effect. I just dont want to give her something that is going to kill her liver or kidneys. Thanks for the input!

Cosequin is a good pain reliever. The best one I know of though through a vet is Rimadyl. Why wouldn't you want te best for him?! Vet Balance. we used to give our black lab an aspirin wrapped in a piece of cheese. it helped him a lot with his back and legs. You are allowed to give your dog buffered asprin, just consult a vet on dosage. Also Glucosamine and Condrotin supplaments help, as well as slimming her down. Labs tend to be overweight and it works against them. You should be able to feel the ribs without appling pressure, feel the hip bones, have a nice tucked tummy, and feel the vertebrae down the back. This will greatly help with dysplasia. Also consider a strength/conditioning program of low impact exercise. This will help strengthen the muscles around the hips and help keep things in place. Depending on where you live there are places that offer underwater treadmills, chiropractic service, and acupuncture to help releave pain. Do not know about over the counter, but get her started on a daily maintenance of glucosomen - I know that is spelled incorrectly, but hopefully you know what I mean. It does wonders for my golden.Good Luck. You should drop some weight off her for starters. Get your vet to prescribe something and get the prescription filled at your local drugstore, The dispensing fee is cheaper at your drugstore, and the drugs themselves are usually far cheaper. glucosimine, chondroiten, msm is wonderful - available at WM or any drug store. & it does treat the pain too it is for people rimadyl does not need to be given long term to cause kidney failure Over the counter medications are not always effective. You should go see a vet to discuss options. Although vet prescribed pain medication can have side effects, that only occurs when the medication is not being administered properly. The vet will prescribe the lowest effective dose possible to minimize the effects. In addition, annual blood tests are done to confirm that liver and kidney functions are normal. Occasionally, glucosamine and chondroitin are given in conjunction with the pain meds, but will not stop the pain when given on its own. Glucosomine. We have used it on all our dogs who have had arthritis and bad joints. Wrap it in some cheese and your dog will willingly take it. You can even take it if something starts to hurt :) THere are other names that it is sold under though not as safe as you may think , but since she seems to toleratet it.this article show the different names it is sold under including generic name arthritis. I went through this several years ago with my older lab husky cross. Out vet recommended Glucosamine Chondroitin over the counter, for human use. There are pet versions of it available, but they are much more expensive and work in the same way.Keeping your dogs weight down is important, my dog loved to swim, so we made sure she went to the beach a few times a week. There are actually classes in swimming offered through many dog day cares and kennels now, just check with some of your local vets. When our dog was achy, she would love to see the GC bottle come out of the cabinet, she knew that it helped her. It is much more gentle on the liver and kidneys than a lot of the pain meds. When our dog would get achy in the cold during the winter, we would warm up some of those herbal wraps in the microwave, the ones that are made for headaches and backaches, just warm to the touch and she would love to lie down with them on her joints. You can get the same effect by filling a tube sock with rice, and warming that in the microwave. You can sew it closed or knot it if you leave enough material.Best of luck with your lab, they are fantastic dogs.

The useful information about Tiotropium

Is There Any Advantage (Other than 1/2 Life) to Using Tiotropium Powder Over ipratroprium Mist?
Buy Tiotropium without a prescription - save with the lowest price.
Everyone responds different to different preparations, this is one difference. secondly one medication could have been studied more in research studies than the other. I would suggest you to talk to the prescribing physician or a local pharmacist, good luck

Emergency! What should I do, I swallowed a Spiriva inhalation powder capsule? This is a tiotropium bromide powder that is in a capsule. I take alot of medications, and I was holding it in my hand to put in the inhaler, and I just forgot, and threw it in my mouth and swallowed!

I really hope you're not on a dial-up circuit. You could be in deep trouble by the time someone replies. Yes go to the Doctor or the Emergency room, if it a problem, they may induce vomitting, or give you something else to counteract it. Don't worry about it. Acute intoxication by inadvertent oral ingestion of SPIRIVA capsules is unlikely since it is not well-absorbed systemically. You could have read this off of the packet and had an answer much sooner!

Asthma - am I on too many meds? I am a 32 year old male, and have been on numerous asthma medications for most of my life. My current asthma meds are as follows:Spiriva (tiotropium bromide) 18mcg one inhalation dailySymbicort 200 - 4 inhalations twice dailyAdvair diskus 250 - 2 inhalations twice dailySingulair - 1 pill a dayVentolin - relief inhaler - used only when very illWhen I get my meds filled at the pharmacy it always sets off alarms - and the pharmacist states he is concerned that I am over-medicated. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

HOLY COW!Go and see another doctor, get an 2nd opinion about this. It sounds like you are way over medicated It all depends on the severity of your asthma. If its severe, I would hope you are seeing a pulmonary specialist if that is the case. I have seen people who only have one rescue inhaler . But I've also taken care of patients who need need many meds to keep their asthma at bay. So for you, this may be an appropriate amt of meds. The best thing is to be under the care of a specialist who can treat you appropriately and accordingly. Spiriva is used to treat COPD. Symbicort & Advair are similiar meds. Ventolin needs to be carried at all times. follow up with a pulmonologist and remember that people die from asthma. Ask your doctor about a fairly new medicine called Xolair.I have been on it for 5 years and it has been a God send.I can now breathe like a human being.go to xolair.com for more details Spiriva is not normally used for asthma, but for COPD. It won't really help asthma symptoms. You should be on either Symbicort or Advair. People normally don't combine them.I would trim your regimen down to Symbicort or Advair, Singulair, and Ventolin (albuterol). Singulair is a unique drug because it helps with both asthma and allergies.

Inhalers 'could cause heart attack'?? my son has bin on this long term for his breathing has recurring chest infections is there any thing in it?They open up the airways by relaxing muscles, which allows air to get in and out of the patient's lungs more easily. The latest study looked at the inhalers ipratropium (Atrovent) and tiotropium (Spiriva). The meta-analysis examined at 17 medical trials involved a total of 14,783 patients who were using the inhalers for more than 30 days.Writing in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the authors said: "Inhaled anticholinergic use for more than 30 days significantly increases the risk of cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction (heart attack), or stroke in patients with COPD by approximately 58%."uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20080924/tuk-inhalers-could-cause-heart-attack-6323e80.html

I'm glad you saw that. If more people would realize what side effects the medications they want to take or are prescribed have they would look to more natural things to do. As for me, I've seen significant improvements in children's health just by giving them chiropractic care. Just go to this website and look up ANY drug, and you'll see a whole page just on side effects for each drug: rxlist.com Have you tried to take your son to the alternative medicine? All medications have got side effects, and yes, they can damage through the years. My son had always had bronchitis and after two years of inhalers I took him to an alternative doctor (he is also a real doctor that has decided to work with less medications, using natural ones made of herbs and other goodies). After a year my son has improved a lot.uk.search.yahoo.com/search?p=alternative%20medicineHere you´ll find some pages where you can get information from.Hope your boy gets better soon.See if DR.Frank answers. He is very good.Or contact him! Yeeeesss.but COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder) is a condition of the circulatory system surrounding the heart, not a chest infection. All that article's saying is that patients with both conditions should have restrictions on inhaler use. Oh, and don't try alternative medicine. As Jeremy Hardy says, if it's alternative, it's not medicine. I'm no doctor buy my abusive nephew was using inhalers on a regular basis. Years later they told him that his blood vessels were restricted because of the inhaler use and he had some major problems that were not discussed with me. This is all I overheard. Your doctors should discuss this with you and what you have read makes sense and agrees with what I have heard. You need to discuss this with your doctors and I hope I'm wrong. Good luck and good health to your son. Oh dear, there are a lot of potentially worrying problems involved in your question. You don't give your son's age, so I am going to assume he is 20 years or less. If this is correct, he probably does not have even the correct diagnosis, let alone the correct management!Recurrent symptoms of breathlessness and or wheeze plus more prolonged chesty episodes is statistically likely to be asthma. Asthmatics don't actually get more 'chest infections' than non-asthmatics. What they get is episodes of lung instability, triggered by viral illnesses, of which we all get an average of 7 a year, ie one every 7 weeks. These are not due to bacterial infection and therefore do not respond to antibiotics.Symptomatically the wheeze, tightness and breathlessness, but often not the cough, respond to inhaled beta2 agonists, the commonest short acting drug being salbutamol (Ventolin). and the longer acting salmeterol (Serevent.) The drugs causing concern are anticholinergics, these are drugs used in COPD, chronic obstructive airways disease, not asthma. The thumbnail of a patient with this, would be a middle aged smoker or perhaps a miner with an industrial dust condition, not a young man with asthma, so he should not have been using Atrovent or Spiriva. Finally asthmatics with chronic symptoms should be managed with both relievers (Ventolin/salbutamol) + preventers, either inhaled steroids or more up to date combined inhaled steroid/long acting beta2 inhalers, to reduce the occurrence of their symptoms.I have made a lot of assumptions in my answer based on precious little information and much of it may not be applicable to your son. However if some of it strikes a cord I might suggest that you ask your GP to get your son referred to a hospital based Respiratory Physician.

Is Arcalion to be classified as a Vitamin in deciding a n Insurance Claim?

Arcalion or Silbutamine is a quack`s prescription. It is not classified into any category in insurance

Does Arcalion 200 (for memory improvement and stuff like that) really work?
if you must take a supplement try cod liver oil for brain improvement or any oily fish in your diet will help i try and eat 3 portions a week of mackerel Dont know i keep forgeting to take it There is absolutely NO proof any product increases memory. The only exception might be the vitamin B complex (mainly B6 and B12), where in prospective randomised trials it did show an improvement in the so-called "minimental" test, but the methodology used was very much debated at that time.Nothing improves memory other than "memory training". From what I read, Arcalion 200 is used in the treatment of asthenia which is a feeling of fatigue or weakness (without loss of any actual strength). It apparently improves the metabolic functions of the cerebral cortex in animals although I'm dubious that it in fact improves memory in humans. Many reliable studies do show though that a combination of ginko biloba and gingseng can in fact improve your memory, in my experience it has been really beneficial. Together with a good diet which includes omega 3, I think its definitely a winner. This is one of many websites where you can get further information.

Arcalion is prescribed by quacks. Arcalion . Chemicaly called SULBUTIAMINE but not anyway related to SALBUTAMOL misleads even doctors to think it can be a stimulant. Safety information about Maxalt

Can you drink alcoholic beverages after taking Maxalt? I took a 10mg Maxalt today around 1h30. My friend and I have had plans to party since yesterday, and I don't want to ruin them. Can I drink later even after taking this medication?

The lowest price: buy Maxalt online

If you have a few drinks you should be fine. Alcohol and maxalt will only increase the sedation effect of maxalt, which you may or may not feel regularly. Just watch what you drink, and space them out until you know your limit while you're on the medications. Medications can greatly affect your tolerance of alcohol. When in doubt, don't have another drink.

Is there a generic available for Maxalt yet? I've been using Maxalt for a number of years and heard on the news that a number of patents on drugs have expired, meaning generics would be available. I can't find a list of those drugs. Does anyone know if Maxalt is on that list and would be available as a generic now? It's so expensive.
Hiin the states there is no available generic, but if you're interested, there is a generic available from overseas.check Drugstoregenerics.comthey have it and it's pretty cheap because it's generic.
so far rizatriptan(maxalt) is only available in the brand name.
Is there a higher risk of pregnancy when taking Maxalt? Someone told me that they thought, when taking Maxalt (migraine prescription), that you were supposed to use extra birth control. Is this true? Does it weaken birth control pills? Or is this all a bunch of crap I was told?
How does maxalt rizatriptan work? I take this medication for my migraine attacks. I'd like to know whether this medication merely numbs the head like a painkiller or does this medication try to get da enlargened blood vessels to get back to normal size?
Click on the link to see how it works. It contains warnings too. I take Synflex (Naproxen) for my migraines and period pains.

How much does Maxalt-MLT Oral typically cost at Wal-Mart without insurance? I've tried many meds over many years. This is a last resort. I guess I can't even do it though because I have no prescription insurance and have only a part-time job for the time being.
It is ridiculously expensive no matter what pharmacy you get it from. I would call around several pharmacies, CVS, Walgreens, grocery stores etc. before you fill it at wal mart. I know from experience that stuff like that tends to be cheaper at a drugstore. From what I can remember off the top of my head they are like $30 per pill, but I know that is if you buy 12 or so. It is usually more if you just buy 1 or 2.One other thing to consider. Have you tried Imitrex? It doesn't come as a dissolving tablet but it is available in generic now which will bring the cost down a little bit.

Is it safe to take zoloft and maxalt together? I've heard about seritonin syndrome from taking these to medications. What is the risk? What would a safe alternative be if it isn't safe? Thanks.
Mixing any drug is not good. Taking a drug by itself can have alot of side effects. A good alternative would probaby be St. Johns Wort. It's an herb used for depression mainly

I take Zoloft and I also suffer from migraines and take Zomig, which is another triptan (like Maxalt). My doctor said that the warnings on the label are not really anything to worry about, and it's fine to combine them both. Also, zoloft is often used (like other SSRI's) to help with migraines, as a prophylactic. Triptans are generally safe to take as abortives.Do ask your doctor to make sure that's right for you, but I did want to pass on what I was told. I know many migraneurs combine SSRI's with triptans without any problems.

How does Maxalt (rizatriptan benzoate) affect your weight? I suffer from migraine headaches and there is a perscription called Maxalt - MLT (rizatriptan benzoate). I was wondering if it made you gain weight, or lose weight, or maybe it doesn't effect weight at all, i just was wondering cause i wasnt sure.
There is nothing about side effects of gaining weight.fda.gov/cder/consumerinfo/druginfo/maxalt.htm

It could make you retain fluid and thus cause weight gain. hopefully you will not have to take it over a long period.

Is it normal for Maxalt-MLT to cause frequent and painful urniation? I took it at 6 last night when I felt a migraine coming on. It worked and then I took my normal nightly medication (Amitriptyline) at 11 before I went to sleep. I woke up at 5 30 am having to urinate and it hurt. I have now had to urinate about every half hour or so and it is painful.
No, that is not a common side effect. It sounds like you might have a urinary tract infection. You should see a doctor.

Why isn't the Maxalt-MLT and Naproxen I take working to relieve my migraine? I've had the same migraine for a week. I take the medications exactly how the doctor prescribed, but nothing is helping. I'm a student and mid-terms are this week. It's hard for me to concentrate and I can't live like this forever. Please help me.I have tried Advil, Tylenol, and Excedrin. Nothing is working.
Have you identified any of the triggers? that is paramount. Usually certain types of food, smells etc. healthcentral.com/migraine/triggers.htmlIdentifying the trigger is the most important intervention that can be done. Assuming that doesn't work, I wouldn't take the naproxen. Look for an OTC product called Excedrin migraine (contains caffeine, aspirin and tylenol I think), the caffeine works wonders. There are some other medications that can help, but they all have side-effects:Neurontin - very sedatingCertain anticonvulsants (seizure medications) have been shown to help, but they are last-ditchBeta-blockers help but for young people they feel weird to be on because they lower your heart rate.
